23rd Annual Meeting of the Swiss Transplantation Society

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you, on behalf of the Swiss Transplantation Society, to join us at the 23rd Annual Congress on January 22 and 23, 2026 at the Congress Hotel Seepark, in Thun.
We believe that our scientifi c committee has once more prepared an attractive program, trying to focus on relevant issues, both for transplant patients and for transplant specialists. In addition, based on the success in encouraging a new generation during the last meeting in 2025, we are confi dent that also this year many younger investigators will submit their work. The rapid-fi re session is the perfect platform to show their own research and to compete for the award, dedicated to young academic colleagues. We are very thankful to our sponsors who made this possible.
Among the meeting topics, we would like to highlight two: First, the patient advisory board of the Swiss Transplant Cohrt Study will highlight its role and the growing importance of patient involvement in research. Secondly, the key note presentation by Serena MacMillan, from Cambridge UK; will be about “Correcting ABO incompatibility by enzymatic cleavage”, an new concept which could have major implication for transplantation.
Lastly, the meeting is also about coming together and foster the exchange between diff erent programs, and between disciplines and professions.
