Honorary members

Honorary membership is conferred upon individuals to whom the Society wishes to pay special tribute. This distinct honor is granted by the General Assembly upon the proposal of the Executive Committee. The appointment of a new honorary member must always be included as a specific item on the agenda and requires a simple majority vote by the General Assembly.

Honorary members hold all the rights of ordinary members, most notably the right to vote at the General Assembly, and are permanently exempt from paying the annual membership fee.
